However, I am biased. Dock is quite an American word though, so I would politely suggest something else like "pontoon"? Dinghies don't really dock anywhere anyway, they're either being rigged, derigged, tied up somewhere, or towed. When there's no wind, they "raft up" to have a good natter til the wind fills in...
